Pricing has been announced for Guitar Hero World Tour, and it looks like it's going to be more expensive than Rock Band. According to GameStop pricing, the new release is going to run you $59 for PS3 and Xbox 360, while the Wii and PS2 are right around $49. That's just for the game itself, there will be additional packages that one can purchase for all the consoles as well.
There appears to be a guitar kit version, which we can assume is the game and a guitar, and that will cost $99. The full boat version, which is probably the most reasonable, is the "drum kit" bundle and that's going to run you $189. However we assume that comes with the new drums, mic and guitar as well as the game itself. There isn't any word yet on whether or not you can buy the drums separately or if you can even use the Rock Band drums. We assume the two games won't be compatible, considering the long standing feud and the fact that the Guitar Hero set will be much more realistic with symbols and such.
So get ready to shell out some more pre-xmas bucks on this baby, which appears to be hitting shelves October 27th of this year.
