One of the drawbacks to owning Guitar Hero III, is that in order to jam with your friends, they need to own the game as well, or know someone who also has a controller. Well RedOctane and Activision finally got it together and will release single guitar controllers to purchase.
One of the nice things about buying Guitar Hero II is that when Guitar Hero III came out, all you had to do was buy the game. However, if you want to have someone else over to jam with you on the Wii version, then you need to pick up an extra guitar. This isn't easily done, considering the only way to get the controller is to purchase the game again or have your friend bring their controller. Luckily RedOctane is taking care of this problem.
It has been rumored that Guitar Hero III would come out with a classic rock pack. After checking Xbox Live this morning, it appears that there is now a "Classic Rock" Pack available for 500 Microsoft points, or $6.25 for those keeping track at home. The songs that are listed in this pack are all really good songs and should provide a lot of great game play. These songs are: Foreigner's "Juke Box Hero," Journey's "Any Way You Want It" and Boston's "Peace of Mind".
As of right now, we can only confirm these songs for Xbox 360, it maybe that the Playstation version is already live on PSN, but we can't confirm.
This 15 point achievement on Xbox 360 seems challenging at first. However there is a way to achieve this the easy way, and that's to beat it on Easy Mode. There are two songs that have 500 notes in it on Easy, "Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden and "One" by Metallica. So strap on your plastic guitar and let it rip to get this achievement. If you can get this achievement with one of these songs on easy, your more than ready to start your career on Medium.
