Is it possible that we've been faked out by the fake? Remember that list of possible song titles that we were told was not really the setlist for Guitar Hero World Tour? In case you forgot, here it is. Well a leaked snap shot of the latest OXM (Offical Xbox Magazine), shows part of the setlist that will be available for World Tour. The amazing part of all this, is that the fake matches the article almost exactly.
The Seattle-based company Experience Hendrix, which controls the rock icon's musical legacy, is providing Hendrix's music and likeness for the latest "Guitar Hero" video game, Aaron Grant, a spokesman for publisher and developer Activision and Red Octane, told The Associated Press.
Well, this picture seems to indicate that Billy Corgan will be part of the Guitar Hero World Tour. As you can see in the picture it seems as though Mr. Smashing Pumpkins is all wired up so they can capture all his movements.
Coming to a system near you this fall, it appears as though Guitar Hero IV, World Tour will have bands such as the following: Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, System of a Down, Ozzy Osbourne, Interpol, Muse. Not a bad compilation of artists for their new endeavor into the multi instrument game play.
Pricing has been announced for Guitar Hero World Tour, and it looks like it's going to be more expensive than Rock Band. According to GameStop pricing, the new release is going to run you $59 for PS3 and Xbox 360, while the Wii and PS2 are right around $49. That's just for the game itself, there will be additional packages that one can purchase for all the consoles as well.
The recently announced Guitar Hero World Tour not only has a drum set and vocals, but appears to have one really cool guitar. When visiting www.guitarhero.com, the opening page shows a new guitar propped up against the guitar set. Upon clicking on the guitar one gets the following message "3D Image Coming Soon". So we can only speculate that the new guitar is going to be different and not a Gibson or Fender.
As you can see from the newest edition of the Guitar Hero, that the franchise has reinvented itself again. They even go as far as to say they are the "Most Realistic" set of drums in the gaming business.

It is being reported that one of the upcoming songs to be released on for Guitar Hero IV, due out by the end of 2008, is by a British band called "The Answer". The song "Never Too Late" is expected to be one of the 20 featured artists to rock the Activision game.
