Is it possible that we've been faked out by the fake? Remember that list of possible song titles that we were told was not really the setlist for Guitar Hero World Tour? In case you forgot, here
it is. Well a leaked snap shot of the latest OXM (Offical Xbox Magazine), shows part of the setlist that will be available for World Tour. The amazing part of all this, is that the fake matches the article almost exactly.

Yesterday we had a post about the new setlist that was suppose to be for the upcoming Guitar Hero World Tour. As it turns out, that list was a fake, and a good one too. A representative from Activision has said that while some of the songs listed, will indeed be part of the upcoming game, others were the product of pure speculation. We'll just have to watch and see how close this rumor was when the next game is finally released or the actual set list is posted.

It's been rumored that the video's of Activisions E3 presentation of Guitar Hero World Tour gave away some key indications of what songs might be included on the upcoming release this fall. Here are a few of them.
Paramore - Misery Business: It's clearly visible while scrolling through the songs on the playlist. Plus Haley Williams is going to be a playable character in the upcoming game. So really, is this much of a surprise or rumor?

Metallica has gotten itself in the mix for promoting it's own signature series of Guitar Hero. The following was on their
myspace page as "METALLICA GUITAR HERO GAME. . . FACT OR FICTION?":
An all Metallica Guitar Hero game . . . fact or fiction? Idle internet gossip, wishful thinking, or the real deal? Let's just say that perhaps, just maybe, if you've already mastered "One" on GHIII there might be a pile of 'Tallica songs in your future.
More details later this summer . . .

Now here's something to really get excited about. Guitar Hero Metallica! In a filing to the SEC, Activision reported the following.
In fiscal 2009, we plan to publish Guitar Hero: On Tour for the NDS; Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero IV across multiple platforms.
Now if that doesn't get you a bit excited I don't know what will. We can only wait for the first trailer and song lists to be announced.

Let us first say that is a RUMOR, and nothing more than that. Reading a post on
another site (which often times reports wrong information) had this to say after a recent interview with the band on an online radio show.

While browsing around the Best Buy website, and doing a search for "Aerosmith", one might get extremely excited about the ads one might see for upcoming games. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith with a release date of 6/29/08 is listed on their website, with pre-orders available for Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation and Playstation 3.
What's even more interesting is what reads on the game description.
This adventure for the amazing Guitar Hero series lets you drum like Joey Kramer, wield an axe like Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, bring up the bottom like bassman Tom Hamilton and belt out vocals like the legendary Steven Tyler. Unlike the real band, you won't have to endure years of touring and endless hours on stage. Just pick up your instrument and play, or put the mic in your hand and sing.
